How to move away from Big Tech Wiki Software
Here's a guide on how to easily get away from Confluence.
In order to migrate away from Confluence you need to export your content and import it into the new platform. The services featured above have different options for importing.
- BookStack does not provide a dedicated Confluence import script. There are a few libraries on Github though.
- XWiki offers a detailed guide for migrating from Confluence. The Confluence migration tool is part of its extension ecosystem. This tool is designed to import Confluence pages, spaces and attachments directly into XWiki, preserving much of the original structure and formatting. The extension is maintained by the XWiki community and requires administrative access to install and configure.
- Nuclino does not offer a direct migration tool for Confluence, but you can export Confluence pages as HTML, PDF or Word documents and manually reimport the content into Nuclino. For structured migration, you may need to use third-party tools or scripts. Nuclino provides a migration guide.
